Leo Season is coming to an end, as a result we reflect on the Leo energy we’ve embodied these past few weeks. And my personal favorite way to deeply connect with the zodiac signs is through music. All of the artists in this list have a unique style that, when studied, can show us more about Leo. Also, combining all of these musicians into one playlist is a great way to track energetic patterns relating to each sign.

Birth Chart Bonus: Whitney Houston

I read a few articles on Whitney, and I watched some interviews, ultimately trying to find snippets relating to her birth chart. But the truth is, Whitney Houston’s life was HEAVY. The pressure that was put on her by Bobby (and the whole world, really) was intense and deeply upsetting. Consequently, the questions she was asked in interviews made me cringe and want to snap on some of these people! Most of all, the dimming that was done to her powerful Leo – light self, is the saddest part. So rather than re-share the frustrating articles and interviews, I’m going to talk Chiron for a minute.
Chiron, in Astrology, represents the wounded healer. It points to the parts of us that are deeply hurt, but have the greatest potential for healing. Seeing that Whitney’s natal Chiron was on her ascendant, it shows that her deepest hurt was related to her identity and self worth. Her voice is still known as one of the best voices of all time, yet she never saw herself as a superstar. Maybe it was Bobby bringing her down, or maybe it was deeper than that. Because, with Chiron in Pisces on the Ascendant, Whitney was destined to endure an identity crisis or two.
The key to Chiron though, is in healing. What I learned from interviews like these, is that Whitney prayed to god every day hoping that she would find the strength to leave. And with enough Piscean faith and Leo courage, she got it. Sure, she had a serious drug addiction, and struggled until the end, but there were moments where she not only found herself – but also inspired the world to step up and find themselves too.

Birth Chart Bonus: Dua Lipa

My favorite way to connect to this list of Leo artists is to research them, then pair their placements with things they say. Take this Dua Lipa Wall Street Journal interview, for example.
Mercury (the planet of communication) in Virgo (the most detail oriented sign) in the Fourth House (the house of the home and family):
“Since I was really young, I’ve always kept lists,” she says. “My parents found it really funny, because they would find them all over the house, but it’s something that I’ve done religiously—I try a new restaurant, I write it down. Movies I want to watch, books I want to read, places I want to see, drinks, recipes, everything. So all my friends send me messages like, ‘I’m in Mexico City; what can I do?’ And I’d say, ‘Oh, this, this, this, you have to see this.’”
Third House (the house of local support) Leo (a bold and proud sign) placements – IC, Sun, Pallas, Venus (her mother and fathers past and how strongly that influences her):
“Lipa has retained a strong connection to her Kosovar heritage, organizing a festival to raise money for local charities. The effort was recognized with a key to the capital city of Pristina. Her outspoken posts on Kosovar independence, which remains a contentious issue, have faced criticism, as have her pro-Palestinian statements. The pushback hasn’t made her apprehensive about addressing political issues. “It’s such a big part of who I am,” she says. “Given my parents and how they came to the U.K., [the refugee situation] has always been something that’s really close to my heart.””
