Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

Mercury Keywords: Communication, Mind, Language

Capricorn Keywords: Structure, Long-term Plans, Responsibility

Time to piece together the puzzle and predict the future for the next few weeks *oooooh aaaaaah*.

Communication + Structure

Thought we were done talking about our systemic issues? Think again! We still have a ton of work to do. Don’t give up activism and the push toward progress.

Climate change is also still a thing and whether we like to admit it or not, we have a responsibility to hold ourselves accountable and do the best we can for our Earth. I know personally, I ordered quite a few packages these past few weeks and have felt really crummy about it. COVID makes it hard to shop in person, so I understand I can only do so much. However, I’ve learned that next year, I need to be more prepared for the holidays and not order so many things last minute. I also learned to save the packaging materials that come with my orders. I was able to reuse some bubble wrap and boxes this year (I typically throw all that stuff out right away).

While I’m no expert on sustainability and environmental friendliness, I plan to use this Mercury in Capricorn transit to talk about ways to be better for Mother Earth. She needs us, guys!

Mind + Long Term Plans

It’s no coincidence that New Years falls under Capricorn season each year. Capricorn season is the perfect time to think about our resolutions and plan for the year ahead!

Keep an eye out for my 2020 Wrap Up – New Years Resolution post. I have way too much to reflect on in one paragraph, so I’m gonna make a whole thing out of it! I’m usually one of those people that hates on New Years and gives up on resolutions about a month in, but this year feels extra important to reflect back on. And I don’t know about you guys, but I’m more excited then I’ve ever been to hop into a New Year and start fresh! Come on 2021!!!

Language + Responsibility

We talked a little bit about responsibility already, but I cannot stress enough:

Just because Saturn is out of Capricorn, doesn’t mean we get to stop taking responsibility for our actions and words.

This is coming from a Capricorn Moon, Rising, Neptune, and Uranus chick. I probably take a little too much responsibility and carry things that aren’t mine to carry. So I understand there needs to be a balance. Capricorn transits don’t mean you can’t have ANY fun. But these transits do help remind us of our responsibilities and will absolutely hold us accountable for the ways we treat others.

2020 has been a hellish year full of grief and trauma that we can’t even begin to process just yet. So be nice. Capricorn can be serious and stern, so it’s going to be challenging; but, what comes out of our mouths is OUR responsibility. If a friend or family member says something that offends you, don’t take it personally but also don’t let them walk all over you. We have to be careful, but also set some boundaries.

Capricorn is balanced by it’s opposite sign Cancer. When things are getting too serious and strict, take a step back and remember to nurture yourself and others. We could all use a little love right now!

So there you have it, maybe instead of speeding up the mountain and burning out during this Mercury in Capricorn transit; now you can slowly but surely, trek up the mountain; stopping to enjoy the views along the way.

Just Remember:

  • Continue the activism and fight to make your base stronger.
  • Plan for the future! (Even through the uncertainty, simply planning to wake up everyday and get dressed is a good enough plan).
  • Take responsibility for your words.

See you next time 🙂
