It’s Virgo season, and what better way to celebrate then with a big Virgo Drummers Playlist? As a matter of fact, of all of the drummers playlists I’ve created, this is by far the biggest with about eighteen hours worth of music. For this reason, it was a challenge to narrow down this list to a couple favorite Virgo Drummers.
So you can use this article as a guide for artistic inspiration, your own drummer research, or just for fun. Either way, I encourage you to dig a little deeper, listen to the playlist and connect with these Virgo Drummers in your own way.

Emmy’s Favorite Virgo Drummers
Neil Peart 9-12-1952 (Rush)
To say Neil Peart’s drumming style was anything less than legendary would be completely unfair. While perfection isn’t possible, this Virgo drummer was damn near close to it. For example, in this video, Neil mentions combining strength, smoothness, accuracy, and feel in order to execute the song Tom Sawyer. These traits, especially accuracy, happen to come easy to these down to earth Virgo drummers.
Yes, Neil’s drumming ability was next level; but beyond that, did you know that Neil was also a writer? Not only did he write most of Rush’s songs – including Tom Sawyer, but he also published six non fiction books and co-authored three science fiction novels.
Virgo’s are traditionally ruled by Mercury, and Mercury is the planet of communication, language, and the mind. So it’s only fitting that Neil was much more than a grounded drum machine, he was a philosopher, a writer, and was able to use his gifted imagination to create iconic content for us all.

Mike Wengren 9-3-1971 (Disturbed)
Virgo’s are known for embodying the helper archetype; and it’s clear that this Virgo drummer understands the weight of helping people through music. Not only that, he is notably humbled by the thought of helping them. In this video, Mike opens up about losing his brother and working through his own healing process while performing, which is certainly another facet of the Virgo archetype. Whether it’s to heal themselves, or help heal others, Virgo’s are also known for being the healers of the zodiac.
I also love how, when asked if he likes playing the slower stuff, Mike said “I like playing the faster challenging stuff, but I also like laying back and laying the groove down.” And I wish I could thank him for playing these laid back beats because these too, have saved my life.
I’m giving an addiction and suicide trigger warning before this next video, but please check out this powerful video of the song A Reason To Fight by Disturbed.
So now that you’ve connected with Emmy’s favorite drummers, it’s time to check out the full list of Virgo Drummers, and the playlist.
