Happy Pisces season, friends! Thank you all for coming to the blog and reading what I have to say. I’m reflecting on the fact that social media has been draining my life force lately. Unfortunately, I know it’s essential for marketing and getting you all here to emmyofthelou.com. Yesterday, I received a lovely tarot reading from a local St. Louis tarot reader. She talked about how important it is for me to energetically protect myself. With this knowledge, I feel like I need to switch up the way I release these tarot horoscopes, but I’m not exactly sure how yet. For example, it’s currently 12:38pm on Monday February 19th, 2024 – and I am still writing the introduction for February 19th, 2024’s tarot horoscopes.
Sure, I’m a procrastinator by nature, but also, I’m realizing these weekly horoscopes are becoming unsustainable. Last Friday, I played the Hogwarts game all night long and didn’t write a single horoscope. That night was the most refreshing night I’ve had in a long time. As you’ll see throughout this article, prioritizing play and fantasy is crucial – especially during Pisces season. So, while the release dates for these tarot horoscopes may be changing soon, I want you to know that I am still committed to serving you fun spiritual content.

Venus conjunct Mars in Aquarius
Venus, the planet of love and feminine energy is conjunct Mars, the planet of sex and masculine energy on February 22nd, 2024. I believe the world is more than just feminine vs masculine. We all carry our own unique blends of these energies. The Aquarius archetype is especially familiar with this concept, as Aquarians are known for being eclectic, androgynous, extraterrestrial beings. This is especially true for Aquarius risings (like David Bowie), which I hope to write a full length post about someday.
My advice for this transit is to experiment with this concept this week. Challenge the gender norms that have been ingrained in you since birth.
Mercury in Pisces
Mercury, the planet of the mind and intelligence enters Pisces, the sign of escapism and fantasy on Friday February 23rd, 2024. My favorite book genre used to be horror, but lately it’s been fantasy. Unlike horror, fantasy has an added whimsy to it. Sure, there’s the occasional darkness, but there’s also adventure and hope. While Mercury is in Pisces until March 10th, lose yourself in your favorite fantasy world. Lately this has been my go to advice whenever I see Pisces or Neptune, but it’s because getting lost in your imagination is important. Let your mind wander, imagine better times, feel into life’s whimsical moments.
I’m also thinking about how, according to the Chinese Zodiac, this is the year of the dragon. Right now I’m reading Fourth Wing and am lost in a world full of dragons, hot guys, and brutal killings. It’s reminding me of my all time favorite video game, Skyrim. Which makes me think now might be a good time watch Game of Thrones…which I’ve never seen. Full Moon in Virgo
The Moon is full in Virgo on Saturday February 24th, 2024. Look to the Virgo part of your chart, aka what house Virgo is in. If you don’t know how to find this, hit me up and I’ll help! For me, Virgo is in my ninth house, the house of religion, world travel, and higher education. While I’m not in school, or planning on traveling the world any time soon – I do think this Full Moon in Virgo is a great time for me to level up my Astrology game. I was getting pretty bored with the every day Astrology content I was seeing online, but with this Full Moon in Virgo, I’m ready to dive back in, learn more Astrology, and finally memorize the five essential dignities of the planets..maybe.
Regardless of which house Virgo is in for you, just remember that Virgo is the sign of details and precision. If there are loose ends you’ve been meaning to tighten up, take this time to do so.
Venus in Aquarius square Jupiter in Taurus
Also on Saturday February 24, 2024, Venus, the planet of beauty and creativity is in Aquarius, the sign of eccentricity and altruism. At the same time, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance is in Taurus, the sign of stubbornness and materialism. With the Astrology of February 19th, 2024 – February 25th, 2024, there is a push and pull between helping others and caring for yourself.
I’m going to be honest…Aquarius was always a very confusing sign to me. As a Cancer who cares way too much about other people’s emotions, I didn’t understand how Aquarius could be known as altruistic and emotionally detached. How can you selflessly put others before you, yet not be connected to them emotionally? But it just hit me, you have to separate your emotions from others when you put them before you all of the time. You can’t possibly take on everyone’s feelings and actually help people (sorry Cancers, you just can’t). With that said, Taurus (ruled by Venus) is not a selfless sign. Taurus are the kings and queens of self care. In fact, they are the people hoarding candles and Bath and Body Works scents.
I want you to combine these energies and find unique ways to help others (Venus in Aquarius), while expanding your self care routine (Jupiter in Taurus). Support the causes that mean the most to you, and let go of the rest.

Aries
You got the High Priestess, Aries. I skipped over your February 19th, 2024 tarot horoscope because I wasn’t sure what the High Priestess was saying right away. While taking a break and watching Tacoma FD, I heard the quote: “The highest form of wisdom is kindness.” (Season 2: Episode 9). As soon as I heard this, I came back to this horoscope. Good energy comes and goes, and when you spread kindness – kindness has a way of coming back and finding you.
Unfortunately though, sometimes when you are kind to others, they take advantage of you. Don’t let that stop you from being nice this week, Aries. A coworker of mine was talking about this rude regular customer and how he found the magic sauce for dealing with her every week. He uses baby talk to butter her up and make her feel special. This may sound uncomfortable, but the point is – sometimes angry people need small reminders about the good in the world. Once they taste kindness, they often can’t help but give a little bit back.
Taurus
You got the Star, Taurus. This is bringing me back to this weeks Astrology with Venus in Aquarius square Jupiter in Taurus. Jupiter has been in your sign since May 16th, 2023. What have you been growing since then? Maybe it’s a plant, maybe it’s a new attitude. Either way, look back at how far you’ve grown since then and be proud of yourself. With Venus in Aquarius, I want you to love and honor your weirdness.

Gemini
You got the Hermit, Gemini. The Hermit is Virgo’s card, so with this Virgo Full Moon on Saturday, I want you to honor the Virgoan ways and keep to yourself as much as possible. If you have to go out, that’s okay – just make sure to step away when you’re feeling overstimulated. You don’t have to be the life of the party all of the time.
Cancer
You got the Eight of Cups, Cancer. With this Full Moon in Virgo on Saturday, look to the Virgo part of your chart and think about something you can walk away from. For example,

Leo
You got Six of Wands, Leo. It’s funny, last week Cancer got Six of Wands. For February 19th, 2024 – February 25th, 2024’s tarot horoscopes, it’s as if they are passing this card off to you. Some Astrologers don’t use cusps, but I want to talk about cusps for a minute. As someone born on July 20th, I consider myself on the Cancer/Leo cusp. Sure, I was born with my Sun in Cancer and zero planets in Leo, but that doesn’t mean I have zero Leo energy. I believe we all carry the energy of each and every zodiac sign within us. Some signs just carry more weight depending on where the planets are at when we are born.
With that said, the Cancer to Leo shift is a doozy. Cancer is a water sign, the sign of the crab. Leo is a fire sign, the sign of the lion. These two animals have pretty much nothing in common. I stumbled on this video of a brave crab “taking on a pride of lions”. Although, I think this “brave crab” is just a scared crab who wants to get the hell out of there.
Where am I going with this? I don’t actually know, but I know in the Six of Wands card depicts victory. Sometimes in this card I see crab-like victory with sweet relief after a long, torturous battle. Other times I see lion-like victory with boredom, as if the enemy was so easy to defeat – it doesn’t feel like a major win. Regardless, you won. Celebrate your wins this week.
Virgo
You got Nine of Cups, Virgo. I’m thinking of the phrase “snug as a bug in a rug” right now. According to dictionary.com, snug as a bug in a rug means – “Very cozy and comfortable, as in During the blizzard we had plenty of firewood and stayed in the cottage, snug as a bug in a rug. This expression, thought to allude to a moth larva happily feeding inside a rolled-up carpet, was first recorded in 1769 and probably owes its long life to the rhyme.”
Why am I thinking of this phrase? Because I thought the dude in this card looked smug, and I thought the phrase said something about a “smug pug in a rug”, but that seemed wrong so I googled it and found out I was in fact wrong. Alas, snug as a bug in a rug works too.
We’re coming up on the end of winter. The cups in this card are symbolizing the things you’ve been collecting. By “things” I mean physical things, emotional things, and spiritual things. Be proud of the things you’ve gathered this winter, Virgo. Spring cleaning is just around the corner, but you don’t need to think about that right now. Just be a snug little bug for a little while longer.
Libra
You got Two of Swords, Libra. I found this word on Pinterest: Anecdoche- a conversation in which everyone is talking, but nobody’s listening.
As I develop my spiritual practice, I’m starting to realize how much I hate anecdoche moments. Although, I am guilty of this myself, I can tell that my heart starts to race, my voice starts to raise, and my defenses rise in anecdoche moments. I’ve been trying this new thing, where if I’m in a conversation with several people and one or two of them suck the air out of the room with their constant word spewage, I walk away. They aren’t letting me speak, so why am I still standing there acting like I’m a part of their conversation?
You don’t owe anyone your energy. Step away and keep your energy to yourself if you want. And if you can’t step away, try getting lost in your own thoughts. Imagine you are like the two of swords, sitting by a beach, chilling with some big a** swords, and minding your own business.
Scorpio
You got Nine of Pentacles & Strength, Scorpio. The plant in this photo is blocking the infinity symbol above the Strength figure’s head. But I’m pointing this out because you got the Magician last week, and the Magician also has an infinity symbol above his head. Cheesily, I’m thinking of Buzz Lightyear’s quote “To infinity and beyond.” This quote basically means the possibilities are endless. Taming a lion feels impossible, but you have the strength to make the impossible possible this week, Scorpio. With the Nine of Pentacles in the mix, you can see that abundance is all around you if you just look around. You have the freedom live the life you desire, just be patient and keep on keeping on.
Sagittarius
You got The Magician, Sagittarius. I’m seeing the Sagittarius arrow in the formation of the Magicians hands. Although it’s backwards, the Magician is pointing down at the ground while holding what appears to be a candle up towards the sky. You are no stranger to forward movement, Sagittarius.
This week, I want you to move forward with the elements in mind. It takes fire to light that spark and drive the momentum, earth to provide the physical container to move in, air to create the ideas on where to go, and water to remind you of your emotions and your needs as you catapult forward. Just keep swimming, Sagittarius. With your whole mind, body, and soul – move with intention this week.
Capricorn
You got Ten of Wands, Capricorn. You’ve been working hard…which…duh, we all know this because you’re a Capricorn after all. Your zodiac sign is associated with ambition, structure, and responsibility – but even ambitious little Capricorns burn out too. Whether that be physical resources, mental resources, or spiritual resources, you are not getting what you need anymore.Your destination is near, so I say – keep moving forward. “Toast to your brilliant failures, for they may lead to success in the future.”
Pisces
You got Justice, Pisces. The balancing scales in this card are making me think about how our opposite signs often balance us out. Your opposite sign is Virgo. While you are emotional and intuitive, Virgo is grounded and analytical.
