Sure, a handshake means something. In American culture it has been associated with respect, power, and like the planet Saturn, tradition (especially for males). There is absolutely 100% nothing wrong with being a man and respecting another man with a handshake. However, there is something very wrong with disrespecting a man who chooses NOT to handshake in a time where we are instructed to stay away from each other in order to stop the spread of virus and therefore death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disrespecting a man for choosing to not shake your hand is toxic. There are feminine and masculine energies within all of us. In my opinion, when the masculine (assertive, competitive, action) energy overpowers the feminine (intuitive, nurturing, empathetic) energy within, we get toxic masculinity. With Saturn in Aquarius, we will see that it’s possible to respect the dignity that was \u201cthe handshake\u201d while still showing compassion for each other and learning new ways to show respect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s digress with some Astrology for a moment, shall we? The planet Saturn is associated with masculine energy, discipline, and tradition. Saturn is also the ruling planet of Capricorn which means they share a lot of similar themes. And Saturn was at home in Capricorn from December 19 2017 to March 21 2020. (Anyone else notice the strict male dominated political themes of this time frame?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 11th, Saturn (in Aquarius) will be retrograde until September 29th 2020 (this means the planet appears to move backwards). Saturn will stay in Aquarius until July 1 2020. From here, authoritative Saturn shifts back into Capricorn until December 17 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In English, this means we have some back and forth motion coming so these serious Capricornian, power hungry, male dominated, government themes are not over this year…sorry guys! With that said, what do we do about the handshake?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
