But be aware, on June 18th, Mercury stations retrograde until July 12th. This retrograde could cause some blocks with our emotional communication as we are still feeling all the Cancer feels. When Mercury goes retrograde, communication is not easy. There could be some fights with family and some disconnect in the home (family, home, and nurture are all Cancer themes). But we shouldn&#8217;t be afraid of Mercury retrograde! Tough conversations need to be had sometimes. You may feel strongly about a certain subject but understand that they do too. Try to connect with the why behind their feelings. You are allowed to disagree while still being nice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t let them invalidate your feelings.<\/strong> If the conversation isn&#8217;t working out, step away and revisit it at a later time. There is no need to sit and let your loved ones slam you. They may be fighting an internal emotional battle that you are unaware of. Everyone goes through hardships in life, but some people are capable of changing their minds. Check in with your gut. If it feels wrong, disengage. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be smart. Choose your words carefully.<\/strong> If your feelings are angry and potentially hurtful, use your brain instead. Think before you speak. There are ways to express your anger and hurt without tearing the other person down. If you know a tough conversation needs to happen, try writing out your feelings first. Dump it all out on paper, the dirty, ugly, nasty thoughts included. Sometimes releasing things in writing can help you gain clarity on better ways to say things in person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Remember love.<\/strong> Mercury in Cancer rules compassionate conversations, so regardless of the outcome, remember the love you have, or once had, for the person(s) you are opening up to.
