I don\u2019t share this for you to all think I have it figured out. I titled this \u201cWe\u2019re Not Done. Never Will Be Done.\u201d because it\u2019s true. I share this blog post to teach. To teach how one can be wrong, not know they are wrong, realize they are wrong, feel empathy, then change. I post this to show how one can continue to change every day. No \u201cbuts\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I said I would take the week off posting my original content so I could learn, I still am. All posts that were in the works are paused. They just don\u2019t matter right now. Black lives matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some key discoveries I made about staying silent at a time like this. I chose to not say \u201chey look at my blog! Look at all the goofy astrology content I came up with this week.” I chose this time to listen. I chose this time to amplify melanated voices. To amplify people of color\u2019s voices. I chose this time to hear their stories and to share them on my social media platform, to share their stories straight from their social media profiles. I chose to share the awakening with you. We are all waking up right now. Choose how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I am pausing my astrological content, I am learning more about astrology. I am learning about our astrological history. I am learning about the patterns. I am learning that – guys, it\u2019s only elevating from here. (Be careful on this Friday\u2019s Full Moon Eclipse. Shit just keeps getting heavier.) I have realized during my never ending astrological journey that I did not follow many black astrologers at all. I found a Twitter thread with all POC (person\/people of color) made Tarot Cards. And they were beautiful! Right there, always before my eyes but never appreciated by me. I have discovered black astrologers who also have a lot to say. That is what they mean by \u201cquiet white noise.\u201d They mean to amplify the black voices. Show that they are there and that we hear them. Show that we are listening and learning. Don\u2019t just read this post by me and think you have an idea of how it all works now. Don’t think that I am telling you that I’ve figured it out. Search for small businesses owned by people of color. Search for activists and change makers. Hear their solutions. Find out how you can help. They are posting all over social media right now. We are in the age of Influencers, use them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve said this before but I\u2019ll say it again, we gotta think deeper than the few words that are said online. We can\u2019t pick and choose the words we want to hear. We have to hear it all and we have to think deeper. We have to remember the issue at hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POLICE BRUTALITY AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We have to stand up against that. No buts. Speak up if you learned something worth sharing, whether you are white or not. Don\u2019t justify your past racist acts, but do share your newfound knowledge regarding black lives matter. If someone isn\u2019t getting the issue, speak to them. Keep sharing black stories so they not only see and hear them, but feel them. Feel the stories as they come from the souls that are feeling the pain. Give those opposed the education they need right now. If the argument is going in circles, step away for a minute. Collect your thoughts and write them down if you have to, but don\u2019t give up. Don\u2019t spread noise to just to keep your mouth moving, but don’t stop fighting the issue. Don\u2019t let them shame you for not being able to present it clearly right away. Keep trying. Don\u2019t stop spreading the deeper issue at hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So why were we riled up on social media today? Why were the white ally\u2019s quieted down? Think of it this way, June 2nd<\/sup> (An Election Day) someone tries to quiet us down. A post goes out about how allies need to be quieter and let black people speak. Allies posts of plain black squares suppress black stories within the black lives matter hash tag. Racists speak louder. They flood the powerful, meaningful, important hash tag with hateful racism and more white noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not seeing the problem here?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me share with you another discovery I\u2019ve made. The media is flooding news channels with looting and fires. The people are unhappy; they blame the looters and think this is all a bunch of anarchist crap. They stray us from the deeper issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The American people see others posting online about peaceful protesting. They ask why news stations can\u2019t show more of that stuff. But do they watch the peaceful protests? The peaceful protests have been happening all our lives, but they aren\u2019t nearly as exciting as fires and chaos. The government sees this. They take advantage. They say, yup it\u2019s the media\u2019s fault; let\u2019s tell the news casters with cameras that they can\u2019t be at these late night protests. Let’s tear down the street cameras. That way, the cameras disappear and the police commence brutality in an effort to gain control of American citizens, again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POLICE BRUTALITY AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE IS VERY REAL. NO BUTS.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not saying the answer to the issue here because I don\u2019t know it. But I know that the deeper issue at hand is that the system is corrupt. I am safe from police brutality because I am white. I am safe because I live in a decent neighborhood that police are willing to come protect me in. But all American citizens, all human beings, are not this privileged. That needs to change. The leaders need to listen up. The changes need to be made. They need to at least be discussed right now. Brute force needs to stop being the answer. We need to vote. I am registered to vote and have never voted. I am learning now so I can change this fact about myself. I am learning so we can live. All of us. But black people first. All lives cannot matter until Black lives do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Notes- I am terrified to post this. I am terrified of the current system. I am terrified of my loved ones judgment. I am terrified, but it is my truth. I am breathing so I am speaking my truth. I am not joining a protest so I am speaking here. I am signing petitions. I am donating. I don’t get to be the terrified one here. Please seek to understand this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have more to say but this felt like it needed to be first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
